"Or Wyrm, really"

Films: Lair of the White Worm (1988)

Alias: Lady Slyvia Marsh, Dionin

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area/Cave

Height/Weight: That of an average human (Slyvia), that of a large building (Dionin).

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Bat motifs got boring for vampire tales, apparently. So now things are about to get scalier, snakier, trippy-er.

History: Long ago, the D'Ampton family took out a massive serpent in the Scottish lands. Centuries later, the beast's skull is discovered. But there's more to it now. The evil priestess Lady Sylvia Marsh is trying to bring back an ancient snake god known as Dionin. To do so, she needs to keep sacrificing people to the monster living underground.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Sylvia is thwarted when the hero casts her into Dionin's mouth instead of the intended sacrifice. After the caverns are blown out, it is revealed that Sylvia bit a man so that the curse can persist.

Powers/Abilities: Acidic hallucinogenic venom, the curse of the bite.

Weakness: Bagpipes, anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-It's slightly amusing that awful music and lull these creatures into submission, but don't underestimate the power of this cult. Lady Sylvia is a devious sort, and if her venom doesn't get you with those terrifying hallucinations, the monster serpent below will.

Trivia: -This film is based on the legend of the Lambton Worm, a serpentine beast that terrorizes the countryside before being inevitably slain. The creature was notable in which cutting off its segements was useless unless they were seperated far enough by rushing water.

-Dionin's mouth was actually a colored hood of a Volkswagen.

"Whoops. Wrong basket."

That explains why you get fried with a lightning bolt behind the scenes.

Erm...yes. I...understand what is happening right now.

"I'll bite your legs off!"

One of the pitfalls of worshipping a beast. He's not picky with what he eats.
